PDF report

The PDF report is the final deliverable of your accessibility audit. It lets you communicate results to your client, the development team, or document compliance for an external audit.

Once your audit is complete, click the “Export PDF report” button at the bottom of the plugin panel.

The PDF is generated locally in Figma and automatically downloaded to your downloads folder. No data is sent to an external server.

The PDF report is organized into four sections:

  • Project name (pulled from the Figma file name)
  • Audited frame name
  • Audit date
  • Your agency logo (Pro version — see below)
  • Overall compliance score

A summary table by criteria category:

CategoryCriteria checkedPassingViolations
Text contrast1293
UI contrast541

This summary is designed to be readable by a non-technical decision maker.

For each detected violation:

  • WCAG criterion identifier (e.g.: SC 1.4.3)
  • Violation description
  • Concerned layer name
  • Measured value vs required value
  • Screenshot of the relevant layer (zoomed in)
  • Correction recommendation

A list of WCAG AA criteria that cannot be automatically verified in Figma, with a checkbox for each item. This section is intended for the accessibility expert who will complete the audit manually.

In the plugin settings (⚙ Settings → PDF report), you can:

  • Upload your agency logo (PNG or SVG, recommended: 200×60 px)
  • Enter your agency name and website URL
  • Customize the accent color of the report (cover banner color)
  • Add a custom message at the bottom of the cover page

By default, the plugin uses the Figma file name. You can replace it with a more explicit project name for the client in the “Project name” field before export.

In the Free version, the PDF report includes a “Generated with A11y Audit — free version” watermark on each page. The report content is identical to the Pro version.

To remove the watermark, upgrade to the Pro or Team plan.

Accompany the report with context: the PDF report is a technical tool. When delivering to your client, clarify that:

  • The report covers only the criteria automatically verifiable in Figma
  • Full EAA compliance requires a complete audit (including manual verification and assistive technology testing on the developed application)
  • The plugin is an aid tool, not a compliance certifier
